On Monday, June 29, DA B.R.O.A.D.S. and Stacks Entertainment will allow up-n-coming talent to showcase their gifts at STAR Lounge - 177 Peters St. The showcase is open to singers, memcees, poets, and comedians. If you or a friend got talent, feel free to stop by on Monday. The cost is $10 to enter the showcase. Sign up is at 6pm. Show starts at 8pm.

Sorry friends! I forgot to update you all on my interview with celebrity photog Derek Blanks.

I had the opportunity via my magazine, STACKS Mag. Derek was hosting his website launch party along with friends NeNe Leaks (Real Housewives of Atlanta) and Dominique (model from America's Next Top Model-Cycle 10). The affair was nice and everyone seemed to be having a nice time.

Derek was nice too. I told him I'm coming for my million dollar shoot when my income tax refund gets back. LOL.

So Mike Jones done got knocked out at the Ozone Awards by fellow H-town rapper, Trae. Po' Mike Jones. Who? Mike Jones. Who? Mike Jones. lol

Da Governor & Da Hoe

David Paterson may just become NYC's first Black governor as soon as Spitzer resigns from office.

The story is that Spitzer got caught copping hotel rooms with a prostitute. He allegedly paid her $4,300 for a f**k. DAMN!!! Can a broad get a G??? I mean really...what type of tricks were this trick turning?

Spitzer stated, “I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself,” he said, with his wife at his side. “I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family.”

Niggas (crackers can be niggas too) ain't shit. There's no use for his apology now. What's done is done. I'm sure his wife will do the Hilary, and still stand by her man.

This Broad Need A New Pair of Shoes...

In the past few days, several news outlets have reported that the federal government will be releasing tax rebate checks totalling over $30 billion.

Ladies, what does that mean??? Now you can get those stillettos you've had your eye on. YIPPIE!! Cuz, if you're like me...it's been a minute since you've purchased a nice pair of heels.

The IRS say rebate checks will range from $300 - $1500. The breakdown per payment is as follows:

• Folks who pay taxes = $600



• Working couples = $1200



• Folks who pay taxes and with kids = additional $300 per each child



• Folks who do not pay taxes and make at least $3000 p/yr = $300
  
  

The underlying reason for the rebates is that the economy is in BAD SHAPE! I mean really. How long have we known this.
